I've seen aluminum tanks made and it's pretty cool. I'm a CPA and Luxfer was an audit client several years ago (before I started diving) so I toured their facility in Riverside, CA a couple of times. An ignot of aluminum is put into basically a huge press and is punched into a cylinder then the top is spun into shape. The power of the machine is pretty incredible!
