I'm looking for a good LDS in Houston. So far I have not been impressed. Of the ones I visited one slamed Aeris gear (they didn't sell it) and praised Oceanic. Funny thing is both are made by Pelagic. (Same insides).

So my question to everyone is where should I go. I would prefer a PADI shop but that is by no means a requirement. More than anything I just want honest advice and fair pricing.

I am in Oklahoma, but I think i'm getting ready to drive down to Scubatoys over the next couple of weeks to get my more important equipment. I feel with them being a licensed dealer, and I have spoke with Larry several times (who is a regular on these forums) from scubatoys andh e always seems to give me an honest answer. They also seem to have a good reputation about replacing equipment that doesn't function properly and care about their customers. I think it's worth the drive to get away from some of these LDS's here where I feel like all they are concerned about is how much money i'm willing to spend in their shop.

Just an idea to think about....

I don't know what part of Houston you are in, but if you are near Sugarland you should give the SeaSports Scuba shop in SUGARLAND a try. call em at 281-240-3483. I used to live there and used that shop.
