I'm a Fish!
OK...due some indecision on a family member's part :p I might get to do a quick trip back to the US in Feb/early March.

I wanted to know suggestions for searching for hotels - specifically in the Waikiki area. I just did travelocity and the hotel we stayed at last time is totally overpriced now...it was overpriced last time, too, but not by as much!

Also, if any of you have been there and can recommend somewhere clean, with a good shower and an acceptable noise level (it doesn't have to be silent, but I'd rather not have riotous college kids right outside the window all night) I'd be delighted to hear about it.

Thanks.

I stayed at the Hawaiiana a lot. I usually stayed second floor in the Hau building. It's a small local style place. Call and see if you can get lower than posted rates. I was paying $60, about 3 years ago.
