Some folks from my LDS are interested in diving in the Fort Wetherill area for a weekend, and we're trying to find a decent hotel. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

RI has a zillion hotels and it's a small enough state that you ought not have trouble finding one within a reasonable distance of Jamestown. Anything on the islands is going to be more expensive. Were you aware that Ocean State Scuba has accomodations? http://www.scuyak.com/ I know nothing about the rates or quality but the rest of thier establishment seems top notch.

Hey Gidds. Thanks for the Ocean State Scuba tip. That looks perfect!

Let me know how you like it, I'm trying to entice some of my Maine diving friends down.

It's not a given yet. Plans have a way of losing steam once I turn the details over to the shop owners. However, if we do make it there, I'll be sure to let you know how it was!

Appreciate the extra options ScubaSarus. Thanks!

If RI is booked up try a hotel in North Stonington CT or the Niantic Groton area of CT

Hi EAB. I live in RI and dive Jamestown all the time. David, Dan and all the guys at OSS are great. You can't go wrong with them. However, if thier rooms are booked, anything in Newport is just a short hop over the bridge but is $$$. A good alternative might be the Holiday Inn in South Kingstown. 800-470-3431 Maybe 15 min. to Wetherill.

Hope this helps!

Perfect! Thanks for the tip.
