Hotel / motel near Rawlings

hey! da aquamaster & i are thinking of an oh-so-romantic retreat to rawlings the weekend after valentines...yeah, only we would think that was romantic, but we do.

anyway, i've been there many times but only stayed over a few. twice i camped and once in their cottage. not gonna camp in feb, and not sure the cottages are a) open for use in feb or b) cost effective for only 2 people.

so i'd like to stay in a clean cheap hotel or motel within 15 or so minutes drive. can anyone point me to one? thanks.

The Nottoway is close by, its not fancy but reasonable.

I would really recommend the sleep inn over the nottoway (<--- really ghetto).

I don't know the Cadillac motel...

Since you all mentioned romantic, some of the Sleep Inn rooms come with a two person hot tub

Also, I don't know what you do DA...but seeing where we live, there is a chance you work for Uncle Sam. Sleep Inn does gov't rate...at least they did when I stayed there overnight Summer 2007.

Their is nothing romantic about the nottoway. It's a close place to stay to lake rawlings, but that about it.
