I for one will usually not have to wory about getting bent when taking a hot shower
after a dive. I only take a shower once a week, so I actually use the ocean as my bathe. Unless the day I dive is the same day that I'm to take my bathe. Then I may have a problem.:eyebrow:

I remember reading about the hot shower/DCS possibility somewhere (wish I could rememsber where). The basic physiology that was described is that if you do something to accellerate the offgassing process there is a possibility of DCS.

The scenarios that were described were:
- if you were swimming slowly at depth looking at fish, and then had a hard surface swim, the increased exertion would cause offgassing at a faster rate.

- in the same manner if you ongass at lower temps and then rapidly increase temps by a hot shower or hot tub then the offgassing will be accellerated.
