I have a B2 with the standard length hose on it, which has atomics swivel. I would like to replace it with a 7' hose.

I removed the atomic hose from the 2nd stage this weekend and found a male fitting as opposed to a female as I have on all my other 2nd stages. I then peeled back the rubber around the swivel and found that the hose has the ball part of the swivel swaged onto it rather than a standard hose end. The upshot is that it is not a simple matter of swapping hoses.

I could special order a 7' hose from atomic for, like, twelve million dollars. I prefer not to do that.

is there any source for a hose end fitting that would fit the male connected on the 2nd stage? or any sort of adapter to allow the use of a standard hose on the regulator?

while I like the swivel on the standard "rec" setup, I don't need it for a "tech" setup as the around-the-head hose routing puts the regulator in a *much* better position for me.

thanks

Once you remove the swivel hose it should have the same fitting as other second stages.
It does look like you need to remove the plastic spacer ring and get a jam nut (either the regular hex one or the heat exchange version as in the M1), which only costs a few bucks. You should then be able to screw a regular hose on it.

Ditto, all you will need for the 7' hose is to get a jam nut. It can be attached without it but you risk damaging the inlet tube if the hose gets bent hard.

Not mine. All the second stages I have, and the hoses they came with, and the hoses I have ordered from various places have a female on the regulator and a male end on the hoses. My B2 looks exactly like the M1 you show in your pictures, a male end on the regulator.
