Hi,

This is pretty mundane but I just thought I would quick check with the DIR crowd on the use of hose protectors. First off, how non-DIR are they? I am not using them but I am concerned that in the long run I may need to change hoses more often than I could. I am talking about a single tank rig. (I realise it is much less of an issue with doubles due to a superior hose routing). I know the logic that goes behind not using them but GI himself once noticed that strain reliefs only become a problem if you don't get in a habit of pulling them down regularly to check the swages. Finally, if they should not be used no matter what how much from your personal experience that affects hoses. How long do they normally survive on a single tank rig. (I have a DS4).
Thanks.

Oleg
