Hoosier Help: Lake Wawasee?

Hello Midwesterners:

I'm visiting this forum from the Florida Conch Divers and phishing for information...

I will be attending a family reunion on Lake Wawasee in northern Indiana this summer and am looking for diving info regarding the lake. I have been going to Wawa for many years now but never dove it; if i remember right, some places hit 75 FFW? Has anyone dove Lake Wawasee? Also, might anyone recommend a LDS in or around Indianapolis?

Steve, I live about 1 hour away from Wawa, we have boated there tons but have never heard of anyone diving it. The sand bar could be a fun dive! ASP diving in fort wayne may know something about it, Clyde does dives to some of the local lakes around here.

If you end up going let me know if it was any good, we are always lookign for another good spot!

Anyone else!? Ill be heading up to the Wawasee area in a week. Whats the bottom temp in de' thar cold lakes? Any dive shops want business?? Im heading your way!

I found a link for a scuba instructor who says he gives classes out at Lake Wawasee. Why don't you email him and see what he says about it? His email address is at the bottom of his web site.
