hood fit for mellon head

The hoods that fit my skull are lose around my neck ( slight bunching ). The best fitting one is a Henderson Hyperstrech 7/5. I like the way it feels and the freedom it gives, I can turn my head easily.

Will I lose much of the heat retention from this " chicken neck fit"?

If I have to get a custom one.
