hood causes mask leak ...indirectly causes ear pain

During mask clearing have you noticed any great amounts of water somehow sloshing into your ears? Shouldn't happen with a hood unless your head is tipped way sideways for some reason. And an infection from water usually only is in one ear. But just to cover all bases....
