Can't believe no one chimed in with this one yet: Anse Chastenet in St. Lucia is BOTH a quintessential honeymoon resort on a honeymoon island destination, AND a notable dive resort. Budget allowing of course...
This is a dive destination where I tell folks to NOT plan on diving all week - leave some quality time to explore the island.
There are multiple pricing options there, and the owners love to cater to divers. Get one of the hillside rooms if $$ allows.
Anse Chastanet Resort | St Lucia Resorts | Caribbean's Most Romantic

Anse Chastenet was my first thought also, with the same caveat on budget. I wouldn’t honeymoon at many places I like to dive, and Anse Chastenet is one of only a very few places that strikes me as a great honeymoon spot where it is also worthwhile to dive.

+1 for Anse Chastenet - I don't go there b/c it seems the ideal honeymoon location with great diving and I'm single. Even nicer is Jade Mountain on the hill above Anse - I believe they share some facilities.

A couple other places to consider -

Hamansi in Belize. Dives are all longer boat rides from there though. They offer a whole package of non-dive activities, jungle tours, Mayan ruins, river tubing, jaguar preserve etc. I've heard the Inn at Roberts Grove nearby is as nice but don't know anyone who's been there. Southwest is now flying to Belize City from certain western locations - then you catch a local flight or drive to to the area - in daylight..

More upscale is Turtle Inn nearby - it's a Coppola family property. One thing they offer is a dual package with their Blancaneux Lodge operation which is in the mountains.

If Little Dix Bay Resort on Virgin Gorda re-opens soon (hurricane damaged) it could be an option. DiveBVI picks up there. The beaches on VG are very secluded so one thing they offer is a day drop off on one with a picnic basket - no roads lead to them so you'll literally have the beach to yourselves. It's an exceedingly nice resort but priced accordingly.

On Curacao maybe the Lodge Kura Hulanda. Excellent service, I believe most rooms are actually detached suites and Go West diving is on site. It's one of the Leading Small Resort Hotels of the World. It prices out surprisingly affordable at certain times.

Downside is it's a 45min. drive from town and Westpunt is real quiet at night. Not even a lot of other restaurant choices. The west side of Curacao has a lot of nice beaches and many are dive sites with a shop onsite. I would certainly go there before Bonaire if you are interested in anything else to do besides diving. We covered most of the non-dive Bonaire activities the day b4 we flew home easily.

Provdenciales (Provo) on Turks/Caicos could work also. Grace Bay Beach is one of the nicest in the world and the whole island is extremely pleasant. So little crime there that when our captain was discarding an old fax machine he put a not on it so the locals would know it was OK to remove from the trash bin.

Lots of upscale properties on the beach or Amanyara is the break the budget getaway. Direct flights from Charlotte if you can get there reasonably.

Grand Cayman should be considered also. Excellent wall diving plus shallower options. There's a Ritz, another upscale chain I can't remember plus the Westin is very nice. Dive operators all pick up at the resorts so pick one you like - small boat/big boat etc. all are available. Stingray City is the most fun 15' dive in the Carib and we really liked Turtle Reef for an easy entry, shallow shore dive. There's about a dozen other shore dives all over the island. Seven Mile Beach is about that long - better on the northern end. Lots of excellent dining options, some of the world chefs have a place there. Blue would be one option for a special dinner but it's not cheap. There's also gardens, horseback riding, the usual tourist stuff. It can get a lot ocngested downtown when the cruise ships dock but they leave by late afternoon so you can still enjoy the shops/restaurants downtown. Caymana is anothe mixed use facility worth a look. It's the offshore banking capital of the Carib so they don't allow crime - bugs either as they spray.

Both of these locations are among the Priciest in the area though. Them or the Bahamas.

Young Island off St Vincent is a nice/unique honeymoon place with some good diving (mostly smaller stuff.) I think there are at least 2 dive ops nearby that will pick you up at their dock. It used to be a real pain to get to, but they opened a new airport a couple years ago that can handle jets and American flies there now. Also I think some flights from Canada.

My wife and I were married in Negril, Jamaica.

There are a number of all-inclusive resorts there, and the diving is nice and easy.

My first response would be to pick which is more important, Romance or Diving?

That having been said. Sandals Resorts Sandals Resorts - Five Star All-Inclusive Luxury Vacations in the Caribbean and Couples Resorts www.DiveCouples.com, both have diving included in their packages and while many will question the quality of the diving, they both offer super easy diving with great service, along with being honeymoon specialists.

Another idea would be the adults only Secrets Aura Cozumel. Secrets and Funjet are now owned by the same company. Here is a Funjet link directly into Secrets Resorts. Secrets Resorts & Spa - Funjet Vacations.

If you contact me, I can check other suppliers for pricing.

Hello, everyone. Thanks for all the responses. I saw a few wanted a bit more informational.

We would be flying from North Dakota and tentatively looking at end of January (crossing all fingers there is no blizzards then!).

I have been diving since 2015 and have done both basic and advanced open water and will have completed my rescue sicer certification through PADI this summer. My fiance had done basic open water and this summer will be his second year, he wont do advances open water until next year. Due to Coltons lack of experience we will probably do easier dives. I do like looking at the animals and plants.

We would like to do a few dives but also have a few days to just relax, maybe see what the island has to offer. We arnt parties so huge night life doesnt matter to us nor are we huge crowd people.

As for the price range we are still discussing it, hopefully all inclusive and not too terribly pricy as we dont want to start married life in debt because of a trip,
though we do want to treat ourselves some since hopefully this is the only honeymoon we have!!

I ran the Watersports/Scuba Diving at what was to become Sandal's Dunn's River and is now Jewel Dunn's River, a Jamaican, Couples only, honeymoon all-inclusive resort with scuba included. For over 20 years, I then provided independent consulting services to Caribbean based SuperClubs All-inclusive Resorts. Along with owning North Dakota's only PADI 5 Star Dive Center, I also own a Travel Agency with "Diamond" Status with Delta Vacations, the primary airline and tropical vacation supplier out of North Dakota, and am based in Bismarck ND. Please review my web sites www.DiveCouples.com, www.ScubaOneVacations.com, www.ScubaOneTravel.com, and Facebook page Scuba One Travel, then if interested, PM or email me off one of the pages, the dates you would like to travel, budget, what you want included in the budget, where you are consider going on your honeymoon, and where you will NOT go. I can then put together some packages for you. 1-800-454-3483

I would look at Turks & Caicos. All inclusive options at Beaches or any of the Turks & Caicos Collection resorts. We stayed at the Alexandra all inclusive and loved it. Great opportunity for good day-dives, albeit longer boat rides, and awesome beach and safe, calm atmosphere on the island. The diving is mostly wall dives around 45-70 ft, with great visibility and a good mix of big critters and sheer walls with healthy corals and smaller life.

Congratulations and hope you enjoy whatever you pick!
