while I appreciate the DIY spirit, where I can buy off-the-shelf, an awesome wing like an Oxycheq Extreme series wing, I see no point in trying to duplicate that. I do customize/design a lot of my own gear, when I can make a noticable/substantial improvement in things that cannot be obtained off-the-shelf, but I don't waste my time reinventing a prefectly good wheel....so building my own wing never crossed my mind......the time value of money makes some DIY projects a $ loser, unless you're unemployed or only make $ 0.25/hr.

I would be interested in the technical hurdles of building your own wing, so please document how you do it :)

I said this before:
...For many of us, it's not about saving money or time, it's the process. For me, I just love the process of doing, learning, experimenting and seeing if I can build it better or different.

Shhh, don't let my wife hear you! Then she might not let me get any more! :D

Your secret is safe with us. Wives never read the DIY forums.....I hope!

I assure you that the best way to make quality dive gear is from crap you buy at thrift stores. Less stress on the sewing machine :/

PS, The awesomeness of the gear made so far can be verified by others :)
