I had been told that this sink usually has duckweed in it....that was an understatement. I wish I could have gotten pictures with us in the water....needless to say, we spent a good amount of time Monday night rinsing our gear. I think I am still spitting a piece of duckweed out every now and then.

See, you still have to rinse after diving freshwater! Come back to the Gulf, where the water is warm and the fish are colorful and flavorful. Where the water has the same saline content as your body. Where we don't care if you frog kick, dolphin kick, scissor kick, or just drift.

Don't go into the dark, Glen! Stay away from that strange man with the cookies and kool-aid. Come back to the sunny Gulf!!!

<sigh>

No, it's like the guy who wrote the article about cave diving for the DAN magazine said: All his buddies who had learned to cave dive were lost to open water diving. There's something about wet rocks :D

I wrote the same identical message to SPG about a year ago....and we all know what the outcome of that was don't we? But, I think I will try that delicate balance...of hovering in the light of the cavern zone...well not quite venturing all the way to the dark side....at least for a while. A Fort Walton Beach boy could never completely turn his back on the saltwater....and after getting cramps trying to perfect that dang frog kick, man I sure like the inclusiveness that my saltwater brethren embrace!

I am doing a rig dive in two weeks...that might pull me back to reality!

It was the most challenging thing I have done diving...but it was a blast.

Congratulations and thanks for posting the photos! - Looks like you had a great time

Glen, happy to see you trying out some cavern, look forward to diving with you sometime soon!

Heard you guys had a good time last weekend, sorry I missed it. Hopefully, once I get back from this Chicago trip, I will be good to go. I will holler at you when I get back.
