Hello everyone,

my family is planning to head down to Mexico/Caribbean in either November or December and I was looking for places where they can lay on the beach and I can dip my toes into a wet-suit and get some dives in. 3 of us total, but would still like to benefit from some affordability as well as beautiful diving!

Most of the beahes are also divesites with on-site shops. Many of the mid-island beaches are very nice - it gets a little rockier farther west.

Porto Mari is a nice family beach. So is Trunk Bay - they might like snorkeling there with the turtles in 8; of water.
I also liked Playa Lagun as it has some permanent tables plus the Bahia Grille just up the stairs.

If you're the only diver - both the Duve Bus or Bas Harts Diving will pick you up for escorted shore dives freeing up the rental car. There's a few other intersting things there - the old shopping district downtown, the Ostrich Farm, Sea Aquarium, Christoffel Park (hiking) etc.

Also nightlife including casinos, music clubs etc. And some good restauruants.

It is larger so you'll drive more between dive sites but it's also still real quiet once you leave the Willemstad metro area. It's also a cruise port and they moor near downtown so that can be congested certain days.
