dandydon once bubbled...
13 men at the Last Supper;
Now are you sure about them all being men? Take a close look at the figure to the (viewers) left of Jesus and ask your self if it's a woman? Note the shapes on the chest and the long flowing hair - some believe this is Mary.

As both Jesus and Mary were decended from royal blood. They as a couple share the table at the last meal.

Also to be noted is the hand at her throat making like to cut her.

First...Dude...this is a painting.
Second...which of the numerous Mary's are your referencing?
Third...what's up with the "royal blood" and sharing the table as a couple comment...I mean I can go through the geneologies but your analysis is wacky.
Hand at the throat???

And finally...everyone knows that there were way more than that in the painting...well...according to Monty Python...:D

The order of the apostles in the painting by Leonardo is as follows...left to right...

Bartholomew
James the Less
Andrew
Judas
Peter
John...not Mary :D
Jesus
Thomas
James
Philip
Matthew
Thaddeus
Simon

Oh dude! You're thinking of the velvet blacklight poster version. I going to buy that one but I opted for the Farah Fawcett one instead.

First...Dude...this is a painting.Yep it's a painting, but then the images on the dollar bill are drawings right. But this painting is used as proof of the last supper combined with the reports from the "disiples"
Second...which of the numerous Mary's are your referencing?
Mary Magderline
Third...what's up with the "royal blood" It's believed that Mary Magderline is decended from royal blood and the Church depicted her as a prostitue to make it a better story from their point of view.

But as with any discussion on religion there are always differances. but hay I could be wrong as I wasn't there ...

Well I tend to base most of my understandings on the "proofs" of a painting done over a thousand years later...come-on...nice try. I've never in my life heard of anyone, anywhere at anytime take this painting and use it as a historical proof...sheesh...that's a new one. And yes, the images on a dollar bill are drawings so what? What does that have to do with your hypothesis that Leonardo's painting is really Jesus, the 11 apostles and MM...and a historical proof of such event? Apples to oranges.

Please indicate all historical documentation and peer reviewed sources for your Mary Magdelene hypothesis (it's not Magderlene btw)...not even the non-canonical books or Gnostic writings show her in this light. I can send you links to the non-canonical books and Gnostic writings if you want to check source materials from the time.

Oh...any BTW...this isn't a religion discussion...it's a response to your assertion that there is some great significance in this painting which reflects on history. Personally, I couldn't care less what is shown in the painting...it isn't a historical/source document...in the Monty Python version...they were eating jello...and there was a Kangaroo ;)
