So I'm diving with a new diver this coming weekend on sunday or saturday. The high tide for both of these days is at I beleive 10 or 11pm. We can't dive during that time. Is the water going to be absolutely disgusting during any other time of day ? If not what would be the ideal time to go? Planning to go to BHB or maybe the boynton inlet, but we've never been there before.

thanks ! just made my weekend a whole lot better !

where do you find your high tide information from?

Here's the info you need for diving BHB. It includes a link to the NOAA tide tables: https://www.force-e.com/blue-heron-bridge-diving/

Be aware of the posted times for park hours for the public to use the park. Individuals cannot dive at the park at night without a permit.

However Force E is sponsoring a night dive this Thursday night. That means they got a group permit for that night already. Just go to their shop and sign in (for free). Info here: https://www.facebook.com/events/663585003757908/

The widget on www.divebhb.com has a phone app but I tend to use salt water tides to pull in more than one day at a time. You really want to dive during high tide, in the window of an hour before to an hour after. When you are at the hour after mark, you can really start to see why high tide is the best for most divers.

My avatar photo? About 7 hours north of blue heron bridge, a few hundred feet back in Pots Spring. Pretty cave, has some tight spots and is very silty, and I get lost easily driving through dirt trails in the woods to reach it, but I greatly enjoyed it.
