I live in belfast but dive a few miles away in strangford
lough. It is very cold.....

on Strangford I have dived the Lees wreck at Portaferry and the MY Alisdir at Ringhaddy.
For a nice shore dive take a look at Torr Head. You have to hump your gear down a long track from the car park but it is a good dive, heavy kelp with lots of lobster. If you do it don't go to far out or you can get picked up by the rip tide. Watch the kelp if it starts to go from vertical to wards horizontal go back.

I dived the inner lees on saturday as a fun dive with a group of trainee rescue divers. Vis wasnt very good but seen plenty of marine life. When you dived the lees who did you dive with?

This was in the late 70s most of my dives (filming conger eels) with a guy called Duncan Stewart. Also dived with the manageres of Browns water sport (Newtownards Rd) her name is Loraine Shaw. Did a lot of other dives with the BSAC national instructor James Stuart and a few dives with Davey Stuart (Bangor)

Howdy!

Recently qualified as a PADI OPEN WATER DIVER
and hope to get some tips and info.

Only logged 12 dives mostly dry suit, but have
dived in cyprus on the zenobia. Bit of a change from the cold
murky water of ireland.

Hi from Matt,
