those two guys are the only one I know that have actually found it but the last time they were up there they couldnt find it. so it is definatly a mystery spot.

Naw, I found it last year. Well my 14 year old son navigated us to the location, but I don't have the map of the dive locations. I will give the Air Shack a call to follow-up on their status this year. I talked with Mark and he informed me that the couple who owned the Air Shack and the Coffee Shop had moved and I could not contact them with the numbers I had from last year.

It did seem like the boats were about 30degrees or so left of the VFW home from shore, oh yeah and about a mile out to deeper water. Hup two three four.

out to those boats as part of a Divemaster exam. I've only found them once a couple of years ago. That's why I asked.

Lawman,

Here is a link to maps for the area. Take a look at the amvets map for the information that you require.

Hi Lawman,

Yup we found it a couple of dive trips ago, but missed it the last time.
The maps listed on the Saginaw Underwater Explorers website agree with my notes on the compass heading.

The Amvets map lists the compass heading as 120 degress from the end of the road.
My notes had it as 120 degrees from the farthest out corner buoy.
The stern is at 40 ft and the bow is at 50ft, so cruising at 40-45 feet should find the wreck.

I think that last year we went Left of it the first time and Right of it the 2nd dive.

Good Luck,

Does anyone have the new phone number for the Air Shack in Higgins Lack area

...that the Air Shack is no more. The fellow who used to own it was selling out.

Has anyone been up there lately? We haven't been to Higgins since last October....

Did 4 dives Saturday May 29th. Got on the Lake by 9:30AM. Did 3 Nice Dives in the Morning one to 80' water was about 47-42 Deg. 10-15' Vis. Came in for Lunch then We walked out and Did 2 more in the After noon.

Back to the Camp fire for dinner and to get warm. All in all the second year we have dove at the End of May in Higgins and will not be the last. We dive 7 mill Hyoerstreach wetsuits. 2 layers on the core so we did not get that cold.

3 dive on 36 EAN and the last on AIR.
