Higgins Lake 8/15-20

[Compression Nut]

Anyone interested in a few dives August 15-20th? I'm going up to that area for vacation, and looking for an excuse to get the gear wet.

Looking through the other threads, it looks like the best place to get tanks filled might be in Cadillac, Correct?

I just recently visited the dive shop in Cadillac and found the folks to be really nice and helpful. Divers Central www.diverscentral.com is on 115 and is about 45 minutes from our house on Houghton Lake, about 10 minutes south of Higgins Lake. Traverse City is really the only other option, however at times the traffic can be prohibitive and it is farther by a bit.

Thanks for the info! It might be a bit early to call, but it looks like I might have to do a little driving if I wanna dive.

I am going to try and dive Higgins later this month. didnt know if there is anything to see there, but I will be there, with a boat, so why the hell not?

I will be there the 24th-29th. I will arrive with one full tank, and depending on how impressed with the lake I am, I might take a trip to Cadillac for a fill. Is it really one and a half hours to Cadillac? I want to take one of my fellow campers on a little 10ft dive, so I will probably suck through one tank pretty quickly, and I know that I will want another full tank to be able to take a real dive to see some sights (i hear there are some good sunken boats, a cabin cruiser maybe?).
