hid canister light

has anyone ever built there own hid canister light?
where do i get the compononets?
do i have to have a seperate hid ballast or is it in the light head?
can anyone give me any ideas on how to build one?

dont want to un motivate you, but by the time you ship in and build each component you could probably have purchased two comercial available HID lights.

But, have fun, you'll learn lots and lots trying to do it yourself.

My French is very rusty but that's a beau job. When I built my light I was trying to figure out a way to make a light head somewhat like yours, only I don't have access to a machine shop so I had to settle for the modified Mag-Lite.

Let us know when you have the english version up and running, I'd like to take another look at the site.
