Just got back from doing the Open Water course in Sharm. I'm completely addicted!
I had no idea what was involved and found it both challenging and rewarding. On our second day in the water (Middle Garden) we saw a large White Tip Reef shark. I'd hoped and prayed I would see one but was aware the odds were fairly low. There was no panic amongst the group just awe at seeing such a beautiful creature.
Of course, there was plenty to see apart from sharks and we're waiting for the photos taken by friends to be sent to us.
We also did a couple of the advanced dives where it all seemed to click into place (much less yo-yoing up and down and arm flapping - does everyone do that in the beginning?) and my husband and I are now planning our return later on in the year.
As I said, addicted.......
