Hello everyone. I am getting more serious about diving, instead of doing a couple of dives every now and then. I am working on my wreck diving skills and hope to dive some wrecks around Chicago. Any advice is appreciated.

I am also working on getting my own gear. I still need to find a 7mm wetsuit. I do not want to spend alot of money since I am losing weight. Again, any advice is appreciated.

Thank you for all of the great advice on gear. I have been reading the post on this site for a while and thought I would join.

Aloha and welcome to the board. I don't know about there but everywhere else I have lived, at the end of the prime season, the rental gear is sold off for a fraction of the price of new, usualy with just one season on it. Might be worth asking about at the LDS.
