My Husband and I are new to the diving experience. Really love it so far. Any really great places we could venture to, not too far from Orlando would be appreciated Thanks in advance.

South on Florida's Turnpike is your best bet. Much of the openwater diving worth driving to is mostly in that area.

Blue Springs in Orange City is nearby and has freshwater diving in a spring, which is a different experience from openwater diving in the ocean, and its not too far. During manatee season it can be unavailable to diving due to manatee protection. Blue Springs Link And of course, the popular springs in N. Fla.

Welcome to the board. Your in a great place! Within no more than 2 hours drive (or less) you can take your pick of shore diving up and down the Gulf or Atlantic coast. From Vero to Daytona and more, St. Petes/Tampa Bay area, or inland to the DEVIL DEN (around Ocala, if I remember correctly).
