Just checking in as a new member. Planning trip to either Bali or Thailand for December/January. Where is best to go? One good diver and one just doing it to keep the other happy.

:sunny Hi there! My name is Matt. Welcome to Scuba Board! I came here looking for help with my diving dream. I’ve met a lot of nice divers and many helpful divers too. I think you will get the information you need from SB. I look forward to reading more of your posts about your diving adventures. If you’d like to chat, please PM me.
I am looking forward to seeing you some more around the boards!

Going somewhere? :flag:
Want to meet new people/buddy :beerchug:

This is the place to be :thumb:

Enjoy your stay and be careful can be very addictive

Never being to Bali but told it is very nice. Being to Thailand to Phi Phi Island for a week about here years ago. Nice place but touristic as Phuket. If you like less crowded place go for Kraby. Very good site to dive Similan Island. From Phuket there are couple of days cruise.

If you go to the Asia section in scuba diving vacation & destinations forum you will find many info you need.

Welcome to the board Tiddles. You will find lots of very informative forums with great & friendly people here.

As Azotomic suggested, check out the Asia section of the Scuba Diving Vacations & Destinations forum. Or do a search using the search function on the top menu.

cheers,
Maria

Howdy!

I just want to join the others in welcoming you to SB. Hope to get to know you around the forums. Check-out our UK dive club while you're surfing the board, and our New To Scuba secton.

It's gonna' be a little quite around here for the next week, as our Florida friends prepare for a big storm, :sofa: endure it, then get their electricty going again. Bear with us.

Completing your Profile and seperately - keeping your Dive Info up to date helps in future diving instructions. PM me if I can help you learn your way around.

Hi Tiddles!

I myself just got back from Bali. I dove in 2 different locations, and it was absolutely great. I went to a village called Tulamben. It's about 3 hours from the capital of Bali. It's a beach entry dive. I got to see plenty of pigmy seahorses there along with other unusual critters. It is also fairly cheap. But I think it's because I'm a native. You can always try to bargain. It doesn't hurt to try.

I am also will be going to Thailand in November. I'm going to Koh Tao. I have a friend who is a DM there. It's a great town, and it's not crowded at all. You can email me for further info about Bali.

Thank you for so many kind welcoming messages. I will certainly spend some time looking around Scuba Board and should resolve the Bali or Thailand question soon. Isn't it nice to be able to ask questions about fabulous holidays rather than how to achieve world peace!
