Hi everyone,
I got my Open Water certification back in 1996, and I enjoyed the process in getting it. I never stayed right with it but was looking at getting back into diving around 2001, 2002, that's when I joined the Scubaboard. I posted nine times and was ready to refresh, and go for my Advanced. But then..my girlfriend and I broke up and well, you know how it goes..I lost intrest in EVERYTHING. Anyway, as time has gone by, the 'itch' has been getting bigger and bigger and I think I'm ready to take the plunge, again. A dive company out of British Columbia(Blue H2O Sports Inc.) will be coming around next month(August), and I think this is the perfect time. Btw, this is the same company I was certified through. So, I talked to Ota, and he suggested doing a couple or few days of a 'refresher' then working on the Advanced, if all goes well. I have to admit to being a little nervous.
Anyhoo, if I can put aside my nervousness and do the refresher, and hopefully the Advanced course..that'll be great. I would like to look at buying my own gear A.S.A.P. and look at perhaps joining some dive groups out of Calgary and doing lots of diving. So..any advice and/or encouragement right now would be greatly, GREATLY appreciated!!!!! Thanks to everyone who reads this and especially to those that reply, it means a lot to me. Take care everyone and Happy Diving!!!

p.s. anyone reading this from Calgary, Alberta???? If I go through with this, it'd be nice to meet divers to dive with :) Thanks again!!!
