Hi,
I just wanted to say hi from Virginia. I have been diving for four years and I look forward to becoming part of your online community. Why didn't I find this place sooner.

Justin

Welcome!! Any question you have, you can probably find a post about it in the archives, or just ask away and someone will steer you to an answer.

I find myself asking the same question, why didn't I find it sooner?

Welcome Justin, I became a member recently myself and unfortunately I've knew and used the forum on this website a few times in the past, but never ventured out to contact anyone. I'm living in Seattle area, but grew up in Norfolk VA. Funny thing, I never considered scuba diving while living there. I hear that is some nice wrecks off the coast of Virginia Beach. I usually get back around every 2-3 years to visit friends and relatives. However, it is always during the wrong time of the year. So what would be a good time to go diving?

Rudy

Hey Rudy,
I find that the best times to go diving, when the water is warm...ish, is during the summer and early fall. Three years ago I went to a local quarry during Easter and I was not a happy camper, I think that even with a two piece 7mm that the water is still too cold. Hope this helps.

Howdy!
