Handle here is Sundancer73 but name is Mike. Very long time diver.. prefer open water above all else. Collecting fossils (for now) is my passion but these things change. Might buy a good UW metal detector. :-)

Hi Mike.
My name is Ross,I have been diving since I was 16 a lot of dives under the weight belt,at the moment sharks are my interest, but unfortunately they don't like posing for the camera!! I will keep on trying.
Regards
Ross.:D

Hi Ross! Yeah, never bothered or was bothered by sharks. Here in our rivers we do have gators, but they leave when we anchor and have never given us any problems. Trying now how to figure out what's needed to post a pic or two on here. :-P

Hi Mike,
When you work -out on how to post a pic please let me know,I have been trying all week and have given up in frustration .
Regards;)

mike, you live in a diving mecca! are you hitting the suwannee for fossils? i don't know about the santa fe (ask around, though, someone does for sure!), but the suwannee has lots.

I certainly will do that Ross2501! As it is, I'm frustrated a bit too. Maybe Pete can help us.

Yes, I have done diving in the Suwannee... ( it's only 15 miles west ) but mainly in the Santa Fe. I was at Suwannee last weekend for a non diving event and the water looked very dark.... We'll see what happens
later this Spring.. I love the Auriculatus teeth that come up from there. We do find the occasional one in S.F. but mostly vertebrate pliestocene fossils there.. and a LOT of them.

Welcome to SCUBAboard!

I have an U/W metal detector. It's over 20 years old.

I still haven't found the pot of gold @ the end of the U/W rainbow!

If I were you I'd stick to fossils.
