Welcome to Florida. It's a great place. I live in Melbourne, and we go down to West Palm Beach and Pompano to dive. I've always wanted to dive Lauderdale by the Sea, but I haven't had the opportunity... yet... It's a matter of time. Last year at DEMA, I stayed at LBTS and checked out the beach. I didn't realize how far LBTS was from Miami Beach. It was a long ride... but... I got to see an old friend...
I paid my penance in Silicon Valley. I was stationed (AF) in Sunnyvale. I got to dive the frigid Monterey Bay and dove (freedive) for abalone just north of SF. It was nice to get stationed in Florida for a second time... I love the warm water.

Thanks for the welcome. We have been diving once or twice a week lately. Mostly at various sites in Lauderdale By The Sea, Datura St., Hibiscus St, etc. and sometimes at the Euro Jacks at Dania Beach. Today I think we will go to the Pampano Dropoff. That looks like an interesting site.
Yeah, we really enjoy the warm water too. When it's too rough to dive we go swimming.
