I am in the south bay, happy to meet other people to go with too, since I am absolutely new to Monterey despite being "local".
I have been a tropical diver and never even thought about scuba diving in the freezing water of Monterey, until lately. I was training for my freediving and did a session in Monterey once (there are not many options locally). I found the kelp forest quite remarkable, so I am planning to explore local diving more with scuba.
