Channel Islands and Catalina are both excellent places for good diving although i dont get out that way to often. Most of my dives are at Monterey with the usual 10-20ft of vis sometimes better or worse depending on the conditions and location.

Where in the heck do you guys dive in Arizona? Is there anything there besides desert? :D

Puerto Penasco) Mexico, & got certified specifically for a trip we made to the BVI's (bathwater diving, don't ya know!);
anyhow, I've dived in Lake Powell (took the aow class there), Lake Mead just two weeks ago, & more locally, I've been in one of our trout lakes (approx 7000ft msl), as well as the famous "slide rock" in oak creek canyon, heard of Sedona? it's not only pretty red-rocks;) two sites there, one was 10ffw, the other was 15ffw!
just wish there was Kelp there!!
