I've been out of the water for about a year or so, but I've got the "go-ahead" from my wife to get back in it. I'm glad to have found this forum and from the looks of things, it's pretty active with newly certified divers (congratulations to all of them!) and experienced helpful folks. Very cool.
Been diving for about 5 years and the first 3 years were *very* active. Mostly in the Monterey/Carmel area.
Some of the best dives - in Carmel diving very shallow and having a harbor seal nudge me repeatedly trying to play (I hope...) for about 45 minutes. Diving the Yukon (conditions were moderate and enjoyable). And being on a dive boat and watching a humpback breach about 40 yards from us while heading to a site near Monterey. The whale-watching boats were miles away.
Anyway glad to meet everone and safe diving.
