Hey DivingGal;

Which coast is your time-share on?

With whom do you dive with when in Barbados?

Here is my pick for the best dinner spot on the island...................................Shells....near the Sandy Beach Hotel.
You can thank me later!!!

Best regards jbm

Time share is at the Rockley Beach Club (home of one of the few golf clubs on the island) down on the south coast.

I have eaten at Shells and concur, the meals have been good. The family has been going to the island for more than twenty years so my "favourite" restaurant can change with my visits.

As for who I've used to go diving: Kip with Coral Isle (though I think they've gone under a name change and now call themselves The Wet Shop) and Willy with Hightide Watersports. Both are great guys and I recommend either.

I generally stay on the South Coast as well, usually the Sandy Beach but this past trip I stayed in the Gap. Gap is a mess right now due the road work that has been going on for over a year.

Barbados is feeling the downturn in tourism since September and many hotels are still charging their low season rates.

"Bajan Queen" ( large tug ) will soon be sunk in Carlyle Bay ( near the C-Trek) as soon as the paper work is done.

Best regards; jbm

Good news about the Queen it was becoming a real eye-sore -- quite frankly I've been amazed that it was still floating the last time I was there (in June). Yahoo that will be 4 wrecks -- well 4.5 if you count that pile of timbers too, in the bay. I love diving there in the day, then returning at night.

I hear you with the road work, it is the same all up and down the coast. A bit of a pain, but it's all for a good cause. Hopefully it will improve the water treatment, and the reefs can get back on the road to recovery.
