I am new to the scuba board, but not to the spot of diving. I just recently overheard a few friends discussing the information found within the board and thought I’d check it out.

Seems like a wealth of information and a good place to exchange ideas. Also looks like a place you can get “bruised” if your not accurate with your information, but then again, this is a sport that you should not dive into without a good education (sorry ‘bout the pun).

A little about me….. I’ve been diving for many years, but my enthusiasm for the sport has gotten the better of me. I have crossed over to the professional side so I can share my passion for the sport of safe diving. I unfortunately can only teach part time as being located in the middle of Texas has few opportunities to make a “real” living teaching scuba. However, the experiences have been gratifying. I have had great students who constantly keep me updated with their diving adventures and experiences.

I hope to be an avid contributor and help out where I can.

Hey Strat,
Welcome to SB, and you got that right about getting bruised, some smart cookies in these here parts.

Good Morning,

Thanks for the response and the confirmation of the talent viewing and posting to the SB. I noticed your photos in Cozumel, whom is your preferred dive operation there? I have a bunch of friends wanting to go back to CZM, and we’re in the process of setting up a trip and looking for advice on the best operators.

Your thoughts?

HI Strat:

I would dive with Blue XT sea, or Dive Paradise when in Coz. PM me if you need more info.

Welcome to the board.

Good morning to you too!
I have only done two dives in Coz, so I really don't have a favorite operator.
But if you post this question in the Mexico/Cozmel forum, you will get lot's of good input. There is a lady named Christi who has a dive op there, many reccomend her.

Howdy and Welcome to ScubaBoard.com

Sorry it took so long to hear about us, and I do hope you will tell your friends about us. PM me if I can help find your way around

Did you notice some posted friction on the board? We're a friendly lot for the most part, but its' going to happen at times. Not too often we hope. :11:

Are you an DM or Instructor? We have a private forum for Professionals you know?

Welcome to the board Strat Planner. This is great place to talk to other divers and get info. Sounds like you enjoy diving. Yes it sounds hard to teach diving in the meddle of TX. Must be rewarding to teach diving?

Take care and see you around and safe diving Matt. :crafty:

No experience needed and it feels great!

Thanks for the response.

Yep, I am a NAUI Certified Instructor / Instructor Trainer

Yes, I did notice a board for instructors, and I have applied for membership. Just waiting for a response on the thread.

Thanks again.

Welcome to the board. It must fun teaching others a sport you love. I help out my wife on the dive boat she DMs on. It can be really rewarding at times and very frustrating at other times. I know you will have a lot to offer to this board.
