Hey from the Great Lakes!

Hi from Michigan! I love diving shipwrecks, but recently went to Utila, Honduras, for the whale sharks.....but none were seen! They've been hiding out since the Japan earthquake (I went right afterward); so I hope they are now back in Utila. I have plans (of course) to dive shipwrecks in the Great Lakes and I am going to go to Cape Cod for some lobster diving. Just wanted to say hi to all of you! Meredith

Ever dive the Rogers City/Cheboygan area? I live in Florida, but have a cottage in Rogers City. Just wondering....I have always heard there are a lot of shipwrecks in the Rogers City area.

Meredith, you might want to check out the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew forum under Central United States. There are many people from the Michigan/Ohio are in there and also the Drive to Dive Group. Anyways welcome to SB and dive safe.

Hi SkubaGator! Rogers City is on my list - the wrecks there are a bit deeper, so I want some more diving under my belt (have 60 dives in). I've been to the Straits, Alpena, Port Sanilac, and Munising. So you dive in Rogers City? I bet your cottage is GREAT! Meredith

Hey I am from Michigan also, I haven't done much diving up there though. I am from the Grayling area, and have dove Bear and Cub lakes, and Petoskey/Harbor Springs, a lot of mud, some old fishing shanty's and the occasional sled, but I have yet to do any of the wrecks. I was just wanting to get in the water at the time regardless of what was there! Welcome aboard
