What makes you think a shark can't smell you? Or sense you thru his ventral line? if the water is zero viz he can detect your electrmagnetic signature (at close range)-

Actually there is not a boat anymore He sold it till he buys a bigger one which may be a while so its back to the kayaks and shorediving. It may be even longer than expected as he just ordered a new Harley. But i do like your idea of sending him down first. By the way they spotted a great white a few weeks ago around the point south spooners attacking/playing with a large sunfish so they are still lurking.

I can't inagine Larry going without a boat for long, maybe that GW scart' him out of the water Actually it occurs to me we may be seeing a change in shark behaviour along the west coast, we'll see ~Z
