I just got this tank today. Purchased on E-bay. ($56.00 total with shipping )
I will be needing to get it in for a hydro, and will want to put a new Pro valve on top.
the inside of cylinder is clean, except for some small flash rust.
So, I figure I will have about $100.00 tied up in this thing when all is said and done.

It is a 7" dia. tank and is 26" tall w/o valve. It is one heavy mother , 40.36 lbs with valve while empty.

Markings on the neck are.
DOT-3AA 3000 ( Steel cylinder DOT 3000 # rating )
7526U ( Ser # )
PsT ( Manufacture of cylinder )
4C 78 + ( Original and only hydro date April 1978 with the plus stamp. )

It is the same size as a Faber LP-85, so based on that I figured this is aprox. 95 cu ft at 3000# .

So, am I close or not ?

Thanks, Jim

Ok, Math wizards can you check my math ?

I filled the cylinder with water and found that it holds 393 oz ( 11.56 liters )
At 3,000 psig the cylinder should hold about 82.3 cu ft of gas.
At 3,300 psig the cylinder should hold about 90.6 cu ft of gas.

Thanks in advance, Jim Breslin
