You'll get much more help if you can give info on each image, in the comments section of your galleries. Where (mainly)were they taken, etc. It'll save others a lot of time. Ireland for some of them???

rsz0026 is one I know right off, Blacktip Grouper, Epinephelus fasciatus, from somewhere in tropical Pacific?

It would help a lot if you told us where these photos were shot so that people with reference books/experience in that part of the world could give you the right names for the animals. My books are mostly for the Indo-Pacific region, for example, but somehow I doubt these animals are from around here.

Just scrolling through the crustaceans, though, you have several shots of hermit crabs, and several of what might be a decorator crab of some sort (the one with the grass and other stuff on its back). You've got one lobster, and it looks like one shrimp, too, but exactly what kind of lobster or shrimp I can't say.

Appart from the grouper, which was taken in the lovely waters of Koh Samui, the rest are all in the Atlantic, west coast ireland.

I remenmber when I was in school we had these plant indentification sheets which worked like;
What shape is the leaf: A) goto page ? b) goto page ? C)....
What flowers/fruit does it .... etcetc

There does not seem to be anything like that for fishies.
Is it bigger than you?
has it a back fin?
what colour is it?
have you still both your legs attached?

Something like that would really help
