My Bauer compressor has been running great. It was time for a filter change, so no big deal I put a new one in. Then I did not run it for a week after the new filter. Today I run it and I am getting a leak at the top of the purification filter tower at the vent hole circled. I attached a picture.

The o-ring on the top cap looks fine and I do not have a spare. Everything I read says the filter is not seated correct or there is a blockage somewhere. Both o-rings on the filter were in tact when I removed the old one. Could there be some gunk that was dislodged when I removed the old one? Anyone have this happen to them? Any help is appreciated.

I am going to answer my own question in case anyone else has this problem. I found a post here where @happy-diver suggested turning the knob back and forth until it seals up. This worked. I noticed that the leak got smaller as I turned the knob all the way to vent and let the pressure build, then turning to operate. Turning all the way to vent stopped the leak, and that is when the pressure built up. Finally after probably 20 turns back and forth, the leak stopped.
