Yup, we film with sony HC-1's and Ikelite housings, they work amazingly. You are right about if you dont burn your footage on blu ray or hd-dvd, then it will downgrade your quality. But it still looks amazing even on normal dvd. If you have Adobe Premiere 2 or any editing program, you will need to buy a $600.00 (CAD) download from Cineform to get awesome high def. I know for sure you need it on Adobe Premiere 2 pro, but dont know about the rest. Welcome to the new world of high def.

That's sweet. I have a X Box 360. I assume you need a Windows Media Center OS? I've never seen a way to access video files on my XP computer. I can access music and pictures but have no option for sharing video files. Is there a workaround?

Yes, you do need the WMC OS, but you should be able to upgrade your XP. I haven't tried this, but I believe it is possible to install the XBox connector on XP and it may work on XP, but I just upgraded the OS to WMC to make it easier. The only thing added from the standard XP is some software that allows your computer to have that "nice" interface if it was connected directly to the TV. That's why I am thinking it may work even with XP if you install the connector. Of course, knowing MS, they may keep it from working even though it really could. :D

After some investigation I learned you need WMC. All versions of the new OS Vista will work as well.

Yea, that is what I figured. However, I know its not really necessary its just something MS forced. As you said, Vista will have it integrated and work just fine. In any case, it is really cool to go into your Family Room or Theater and watch your HD movies off your PC. ;)
