Help with gear Poseidon versus Aqualung

As a cyclone 5000 metal user I love them to bits. But the exhaust bubbles obscure my vision in my left eye sometimes. They love depth and deliver really nicely. They have no adjustment for air flow or cracking pressure they just get on with the job of delivering air when you need it. Had them two years been serviced once by Aberdeen Watersports and they still breath like new.

The cyklons can absolutly be adjusted for both cracking pressure and the venturi effect. The cracking pressure is adjusted by turning the seat in or out (from inside the body after removing the hose) and the plastic collar rotates in the housing to direct the air. if you have it directed directly at the mouth piece the venturi effect will cause it to free flow underwater, but will blow the air right into your mouth. for a secondary you want to turn this collar around so its facing away from the mouth piece so it won't freeflow even in a current. for your primary, you want it somewhere in between.

These adjustments can't be made underwater obviously, but if you set it correctly the first time, you shouldn't have to play with it while diving.

Both regs are excellent choices. I own both. I slightly prefer the Legend.

Have never seen either of the BCs you propose, but any back-inflate model that is minimalist without alot of junk and extras tacked on to it will do.
