I have a 1000 word essay due in a couple of days, I know I know, don't wait till the last minute, but it's an 8 week course overseas through the military so the sylabus is crammed and we don't have much prep time.

Anyway, so hopefully there's someone awake that could toss me a good resource or two.

It has to be an informational essay that concerns writing. the prompt is "what element of writing must be better understood" the professor encourages us to stray from that, instead of answering the question. I am trying to relate my topic to the history of decompression theory. I've been flipping through deco books I have and been looking online, but nothing I have found really talks about the birth or history.

Does anyone know of some good sources you can point me to that will provide me with a factual history of exactly how, when, or why. I'd much prefer links to sources I can research and cite in my bibliography instead of direct answers.

Thanks,

Turned it in 2 days ago, I got some good resources off thedecostop.com though and got it finished in time, should get the grade back next week sometime

Too bad... you asked about history and you got one of the leading experts on the history of diving... bad timing.
