This is certainly correct.

But then you had a brain fart and said:

When it should have been 3(volume at depth)/6(surface volume). i.e. 1/2. Which is the relationship you correctly described before your brain fart :)

I understood the text fine, it just didn't match with the numbers that followed. Hence, my clarification.

Hehe, go figure. That's what you get for working in greek letters too much. Those wacky numerals get you. ;)

I'm much better writing equations on paper. Hmm... does this forum support a math markup language? :D

(Incidentally, when I said that's what I said, I was referring to the inverseness, not the values. When I'm tired and haven't eaten, and I've got a cat camping on my lap, I can get arithmetic wrong, but the physics I can do even at 3am with *two* cats on my lap.)
