They are almost identicle to the Suunto Vypers I think, operation wise and everything else... the main difference is the Vyper can be hooked up to your personal PC so you can download your dives. I think that might be the only difference.
The reason I mention all that, is becuase Suunto's website has a demo of how to use the Suunto Vyper on their website (but they don't have one for the Gekko... again, probably becuase they are nearly identicle).

The operation is pretty simple. Jump in the water and it turns on automatically, swim down and it tells you your depth, the temperature, and how much bottom time you have left. You never have to touch a single button on it if you don't ever want too.
