Help with a new camera purchase

Hi, I joined because I am in the marker for a new camera. I have been shooting for years with canon point & shoot cameras. Started with A40, then went to A620, now I have a SD890 IS and have not been thrilled with the latest purchase. I would appreciate any feedback.

Go with something that has more professional options in case you want to use them or learn to use them. G11.
