Completely happy with my Light Monkey 21W HID in my sinkhole dark, tannic water diving here in central Florida. It cuts through the water like a light saber.

Thanks for all the input guys. I am glad to here from fellow NJ wreck divers to see that this light is well suited for our waters. I will prob wait till Jan to buy the light.

One final concern is traveling with this light. I have read about the concern of LI batteries on airplanes. Has anyone actually heard of people's lights being taken? I think I would rather the light be in my carry on due to its' high price.

I travel all over God's green apple with a can light (usually bring my 10w DiveRight) and have never had a problem either in carry-on or checked luggage.

I dive a Halcyon 21. My favorite dive buddy dives a LM35. My other dive buddy dives a DR24, and my other dive buddy dives a LED LUX.

I am not a Halcyon supporter normally, but honestly, I think my light is the best of them all. It shows just as bright as the LM35, but has a bluer beam. It is indistinguishable from the DR24. They beams look exactly the same in every way. When diving with buddies that are using LED lights I must always put them in front of me, because if they are behind me, I cannot see them signal me at all. It does not matter what water condition we are in, low vis, high vis, salt water, clear water, sand, silt or mud, an HID punches through better than LED every time in my experience. This might be because I can focus it to a tight beam to cut like a laser, and LED's don't allow you that advantage, or it might just be the sheer horsepower of the HID over LED

We are having a big "Holiday Open House" the first weekend in December (3rd, 4th, 5th)!!

Swing by the shop and see the differences (side by side) for yourself!! We have Light Monkey, Halcyon, DiveRite & if it gets here in time .....MB Sub!

We will be doing Special Promotions that Weekend! It will be worth the trip!

Hi there,
If you still didn't get your primary light, check here first: youtube.com/user/LightForMeUSA?feature=mhum. Watch, compare and decide by your self.

I just trade my Light Monkey 35 Watt HID, although there was no problems with it, worked just fine but found better light, 7XRE from Light For Me.

Good luck !
