I really like the AI computers. They are a bit pricey. I'm betting if they were not most everyone would be diving them. Nothing wrong with an SPG, but it is nice to have everything available on one display. If mine had a compass, I'd have only one gauge!

I think there are a lot more reasons than price swaying the use of wireless AI computers. There are so many environmental factors that could effect the transmission of the signal that I for 1 would not trust my life to it. In an overhead environment the transmitter is in a position where damage is likely.

I may be way off base in my view but judging by the lack of wireless instrumentation in the technical/rebreather camps, where divers tend to spend large amounts of money on equipment I think that the technology is not at a point where it will replace the SPG in the near future.

Hi all. 1st of all sorry for not answering to your comments in a timely manner. I've been kept quite busy lately.

I finally bought the DS4, too many good things said around the board whereas the DST is neither praised nor criticised as it doesn't seem to have too many followers. I think I'll stick to the Atx40-DS4 for a while and if I get the AI I'll review my decission about it once again.

Now I'm ready to try it in a week's time. Hoep it works

Thanks for your help.
