It is nice that we can all agree on one thing here - especially with a new member. Hell, even I'm impressed. ;)

Sveta:
Hey there, i'm sorry, i have seen tons of threads with the same question: So what is the best one on the market right now? I have talked to my diving instructor and after some readings and research came to 3 -
1) Apeks ATX200 ( haven't figured out the difference between XTX and ATX, and yes, i read a thread below  )
2) Scubapro MK25/S600
3) Aqualung Legend XL

And yes, weight and size do matter to me because i plan to carry it with me everywhere i go.

Another question. I know there is a difference in using a warm water regulator in cold water, but is there any damage to a cold water regulator if i use it in warm water? I do not like cold weather and i don't think i will dive when it's below +10C but if i purchase a cold water regulator, does it mean it's equally good for both - cold and warm.
Thanks :D

Hi Sveta,
The brands you mention are all top shelf, and you shouldn't have any problems with any of them. However, you might want to check out Dive Rite's regs. They are solid performers, easy to get serviced and not mega expensive.
Hope this addition doesn't add too much confusion.
Good Diving,
Bear

yup, agrre with dandy, go test it out in the pool first. and CONGRATULATIONS on making your purchase! your's comes with the ACD in the 1st satge?
Well, i bought Aqualung Legend LX ACD Supreme (the best they had in a shop) though i have no idea what "ACD" stands for. But i haven't gotten a computer yet. So i can't really try my reg in the water. I didn't want to get a bulky console, but a wrist computer with kinda "blue tooth" that is supposed to show air compression in a tank. All i want is to have nothing hanging from my tank, so they showed me a few options.
I believe - Atmos Elite and Oceanic Atom air integrated. Both of them were wrist comp with a little thing that is suppsed to be attached to the regulator. Maybe i'm mixing things up and saying some non sense and it's not even a computer forum, but i would really appreciate if you help me with this one too:confused:

P.S. Oh, i just found out what i need - a digital wrist watch with a hoseless/wireless air integrated dive computer. Any ideas? Please!?

ACD= Auto-Closure Device which seals the first stage when you have it disconnected from the scuba tank. It keeps water and bad stuff out of your first stage.

I have a Suunto D9 Air Integrated Computer and love it. They send a signal from a transmitter attached to the first stage to your computer. I think should consider the Oceanic Atom 2.0 because it's a little smaller (if you have a smaller wrist) but both are great ;)

You might want to take a look at the Aeris Elite T3 or Aeris Epic. Both relatively new additions, both can do "buddy checks" (you can monitor both your own gas, hoseless, as well as your buddy's). The T3 is a bit larger, and easier to see, the Epic is smaller, and doubles as a wristwatch.

The Aeris/Oceanic (both Pelagic) models tend to be a bit more liberal then the Suunto, which uses a very conservative algorithm, meaning the Aeris will allow you a bit more non-deco downtime.

I've been using the Aeris Atmos II (not hoseless) for a couple of years, and I'm pleased with the reliability, functions, and setup. I used to have it in a console, however, switched it to my wrist (much better... for me).

Good luck with your decision... (researching the toys is half the fun...).
