My sister isn't interested in the spring straps, no matter the gospel.
As for it being "so simple" to get a replacement, I pretty much called all the shops around no one carried the replacement straps (or maybe the people answering the phones were just clueless).

Well, try Leisure Pro and Divers Direct...
Just tell your sister to go "foot commando." You can dive just fine with one fin... I make my animal behavior students do it for mock dolphin drills. No fins is fun too. Now THAT'S aggie diving!

Got it taken care of today, I found a Genesis aquaflex replacement buckle/strap that fit the pegs on the fin.
Problem solved!
