I am looking to buy a camera for u-water use I am tiring to decide between the A590 or the A1000 both are similar and have close to the same features and Ikelite makes a housing for both that are priced about the same. I have not seen any info here about either one so if any one has any thing to share that will help me make a choice it is appreciated:confused:

Did you do a search for A590IS here??...I just typed it in & several threads came up with 590 info in them.....

After some time spent searching for info about the usefullness of the A1000 IS for U/W use I still went that route I hope this unit will fit my needs Ike housing is on the way and next step will be to get a suitable strobe/flash unit for it. Then dive, shoot and learn; dive, shoot more and learn more.

The 590IS is the newer and marginally changed 570IS. While it gained a few pixels--yawn--it lost the UW white balance--yawn. N
